Bipasha in Fight League!

By Hindustan Times

Mumbai, Feb. 25 -- They worked together within the 2002 comedy, Chor Machay Mach Shor. Now, a decade later, actors Bipasha Basu and Shilpa Shetty are coming together for a fully different reason. On March 11, Super Fight Leagu (SFL) owned by Shilpa's hubby Raj Kundra, and Sanjay Dutt kicks off with a glitzy ceremony.

And way to Shilpa, Bips was roped in for a glamorous performance on the performance on the event. "I BELIEVE Bipasha is an unbelievable performer and fits the bill for the outlet ceremony rather well. It is a creative call that my wife (Shilpa) took and that i absoluteagree with her," says Raj, whose latest venture, SFL aims at popularising Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) within the country.

Besides Bipasha, celebrated percussionist Sivamani could also be expected to accomplish on the function. Although Bipasha is yet to finalise the songs she's going to perform to, it's prone to be a medley of about 10 minutes with all her fast peppy numbers including 'Beedi jalaile...', 'Billo rani...' and the new Jodi Breakers track, 'Bipasha...'. "Since SFL is a high adrenaline sport, we needed someone with a fair body, who could move well (at the stage) and is synonymous with fitness. So, Shilpa suggested we ask Bipasha, since they're good friends too," adds Raj, who's "very confident" in regards to the success of SFL in India.

Shilpa, who's pregnant along with her first baby, could also be expected to be present on the inaugural ceremony, where Dutt, who's an equity partner within the venture, can also be some of the attendees. "IT'S NOT THAT I AM worried concerning the red carpet. It is going to be a 'Filmfare' of wrestling," laughs Raj. "I BELIEVE between Shilpa, Sanjay and Me, we're going to deal with it. The speculation is to provide audiences an entire entertainment experience under one roof." Post its launch, SFL may even have events in April and May.
