Heroine, starring Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal within the lead, has stumbled upon another hurdle. Writer Niranjan Iyengar's laptop, which had the film's script, got stolen from his car parked in Karan Johar's office, reported Mumbai Mirror.
The writer confirmed the scoop to the tabloid: "My laptop was stolen. The entire dialogues of Heroine were stored in it. I'VE lodged a FIR (First Information Report) at Khar Police Station. Let's hope I AM GETTING it back but I BELIEVE that the probabilities are slim."
Some of the dialogues should be rewritten now. "Now I HAVE TO be at the set of Heroine and rewrite the dialogues. I HAVEN'T GOT all the backup. I had emailed a bit of it to Madhur, in order that part is retained. But now, the remainder must be quickly rewritten," Iyengar told the tabloid.
"Iyengar has consented to be at the set of Heroine. I'M very thankful to him. Whatever happened may be very unfortunate," director Madhur Bhandarkar told the tabloid.
Earlier, Madhur was in an important fix after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan backed out of the project as a result of her pregnancy. However, Kareena Kapoor came to his rescue by stepping in on the last moment. Irony is that Kareena was the unique choice for the film.
