I USED TO BE there for my hubby then, he’s there for me now: Chitrangda Singh

As everyone speculates that her marriage is at the rocks, actor Chitrangda Singh says that her husband, golfer Jyoti Randhawa is strongly by her side. “Our marriage could be very basic and never so basic together. I’ve known Jyoti since I USED TO BE a kid. Also, the benefit of knowing someone so
long is that we will comfortably allow one another space now. He's a sportsman, he understands ambition, knows about desirous to do something with yourself,” she says in an interview within the May issue of Vogue India.

Talking about touring along with her hubby, Chitrangda, who have been married to Randhawa since 2001, says, “It’s a difficult life. Week after week, playing tournaments, sometimes for 5 weeks in a row. And there are mood swings. It’s hard to move available in the market every day, knowing you must give your best and nothing less will do. I USED TO BE there for him then. Today, he’s there for me,” she says.

The 35-year-old actor says that her last film Desi Boyz has changed her image and fan base. “Earlier, I used to have CEOs bobbing up to me and talking about Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi (her debut film). But after Desi Boyz, my fan base has shifted,” she says.

Chitrangda, who will next be seen in an item number in Shirish Kunder’s Joker, says, “I’m doing an item song in Joker, and those are wondering what that’s all about, and I’m like, ‘Nothing, I’m just having fun. Sure, it’s good to have a plan and never be so random, but it’s also great to do stuff that excites me.”
