Sacred begin to Kai Po Che!

By Hindustan Times

Filming a film in keeping with a book can also be tough deal. That’s what the team engaged on director Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che! realised while attempting to find the easiest location to shoot a chain for the film that is adapted from Chetan Bhagat’s novel, The three Mistakes of My Life.

“We desired to match the positioning to the only described in Chetan’s book. After an extended hunt, we stumbled on the Hatkeshwar Mahadev temple, that is around two hours clear of the city,” says Manish Hariprasad, UTV creative head on Kai Po Che!

Upon reaching the location, Hariprasad reveals that the unit was thrilled to find some interesting trivia concerning the place.

“The ancient temple is assumed to be the primary Shiva temple to was established within the country. The pujari says the shivalingam within the sanctum is alleged to have appeared on its own, and the outer structure was built by Babhruvahan, son of Arjun from Mahabharata. While shooting in the sort of place, one couldn’t help but feel that film is blessed from the very start,” says Hariprasad.

Bhagat’s The three Mistakes of My Life is set three friends, Govind, Ishan and Omi, who wish to pursue their dreams. Set against the backdrop of spiritual politics, the tale underlines the 3 mistakes made by Govind.

The film’s production house, UTV Spot Boy, is keeping the lead actors of the film under wraps. However, in line with a source, actor Sushant Singh Rajput is playing one of the vital friends within the film. “He is here shooting for the temple sequence,” reveals an insider from the production unit.
