Bollywood actor Vidya Balan was reportedly considered for Vettai remake opposite Shahid Kapoor. The lady, however, was ruled out by her beau Siddharth Ray Kapoor. Wonder why?
Siddharth apparently said that the role wouldn’t do justice to her talent as an actress, reports Mid Day.
A source, however, reveals to the tabloid, that Siddharth didn't want Vidya to star opposite rumoured ex-flame Shahid Kapoor. Vidya and Shahid had became close throughout the making of Kismat Konnection.
This isn't the first time Siddharth has stopped Vidya from working with a rumoured ex-beau. The Dirty Picture actor needed to say no to John Abraham for a similar reason.
“She didn’t wish to be paired with John Abraham because of strong reports in their affair while filming Salaam-E-Ishq,” a source told the tabloid.
About Vettai
Vettai, a Tamil action flick was written and directed by N Linguswamy. The film stars R Madhavan, Arya, Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul within the lead roles. The film revolves around two brothers, the elder being sensitive to violence and the more youthful being a jobless rogue, settled in Thoothukudi. Vettai was released worldwide on 14 January 2012.
The Hindi version of the fim could also be being directed by N Linguswamy, but actor Shahid Kapur asked him to "get an even Hindi dialogue writer". Shahid joined the project at the condition that a reliable and sound Hindi dialogue writer be brought into the project. So Prasoon Joshi is probably going to pen the dialogues for the movie so as to go on floors in June.
Director Linguswamy told IANS, "I CAN'T communicate in Hindi. And the dialogues weren't being translated properly. That was the principle problem. Now my producer UTV is hiring a dialogue writer in their choice. That writer may be getting along with the Tamil dialogue writer of Vettai to get the essence of the dialogues. "
