Katrina Kaif turns singer for AR Rahman?

By Hindustan Times

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif who's singing for Dhoom 3, will now even be lending her voice for a romantic number, composed by AR Rahman in Yash Chopra's directorial comeback, also starring SRK and Anushka Sharma, reports Mumbai Mirror.

Katrina's friend told the tabloid: "No half-measures for Katrina at the moment. She had earlier decided to sing for Yash Raj's Dhoom 3 with a few week of rehearsals thrown in. But now, she has grown more ambitious and desires to check out out a more complex singing challenge the opposite film directed by Yash Chopra has thrown at her."

Katrina Kaif was related to Rahman before. She recited nursery rhymes for a charity album composed by the music maestro.

"Earlier, Kat had a persistent offer from Ali Zafar to sing with him for his private album. He was keen but she begged off. Then came the risk to sing in Dhoom 3, which she liked. But now, the chance of singing a dreamy romantic song for a Yash Raj film, written by Gulzar and composed by A R Rahman has caught her fancy," Kat's friend was quoted by the tabloid.

Katrina Kaif has her hands full with numerous projects. YRF's Ek Tha Tiger with Salman Khan is about to release on 15 August. The actress offered prayers on the holy shrine of Sufi saint Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti here for the success of her upcoming film Ek Tha Tiger.

It was the primary visit by a movie celebrity after the hot controversy following Dargah Diwan's objection to film stars' visits to the Dargah.
