Even though they’ve both worked with some of the leading actors in their generation, Shahid Kapoor and Katrina Kaif have never been cast opposite one another. Now it seems like they could finally come together for Prabhudheva’s next action film.
Although Deepika Padukone’s name may be doing the rounds for the feminine lead, insiders insist that Kat is the frontrunner.
“Since there’s still a while to move before Prabhu Sir starts his next (apparently titled Namak), the maintain a lead female actor is yet to be finalised. But Katrina was in talks with producers Eros and Prabhu Sir,” says an insider.
When contacted, Kat said that she hasn’t signed the film yet, adding, “You know, as a policy, I’ve never spoken concerning the films I'VE BEEN approached for. But when I'M doing a movie, then by all means, you ought to speak about it.”
Prabhudheva, on his part, also refuses to show much: “I can’t confirm the feminine)( actor’s name presently. We're in talks with multiple ladies, so let’s see who we finally rope in. There’s still a while to go.”

At this point, the Rowdy Rathore director is busy finalising the script of the film. In all probability, it is going to kick off only next year, after he finishes Kumar Taurani’s next to be able to feature the producer’s son, Girish Taurani, and actor Shruti Haasan.
