After Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir Khan, it’s sanjay dutt’s turn to hit the gym with a vengeance for a film role. his upcoming film, tentatively titled thanedar returns (a remake of the 2003 Tamil hit, saamy), will see Sanjay play the a part of a lean and mean police officer.
The role, the film’s producer, TP Agarwal, tells us, requires the actor to get match. within the process, the actor has needed to trade his glass of whiskey for a couple of dumbbells.
“Sanjay has quit drinking, making an exception only on special occasions. he’s figuring out for 2 hours within the morning and another two hours within the evening,” says agarwal.
When contacted, Sanjay says, “I am fascinated with the character, so i’m trying hard to get match for it. a correct diet and a few health drinks along side the correct workout are required to get those muscles that fit the (look of the nature.) i’ve already lost weight.”
Whe Hindi remake is being directed by Tamil film director KS Ravikumar. it'll see sanjay play the role of a corrupt cop who takes bribes, but eventually after a change-of-heart, stands up against corrupt politicians. South Indian actor Vikram (remember Mani Ratnam’s 2010 film, Raavan?) played the part within the original blockbuster.
The film may also feature south actor Prakash Raj, who starred because the villain in wanted (2008) and Singham (2010). “Prakash plays the quintessential villain. we’ve also signed om puri for a pivotal role,” adds agarwal.
