Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s first family entertainment film, Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana (LSTCK), can have to attend before it hits theatres. Scheduled to release on May 11, the film’s release has now been pushed back, to bypass clashing with the Indian Premier League (IPL) and other film
releases.
Kashyap joined hands with UTV Spotboy as an inventive producer for LSTCK, which marks the directorial debut of Sameer Sharma. This food film revolves across the lifetime of a Punjabi joint family and stars Kunal Kapoor and Huma Qureshi.
About their decision to reschedule dates and never gamble within the IPL season, a UTV spokesperson says, “With the continuing IPL, the month of May is already jam-packed with releases like Jannat 2, Dangerous Ishq, Department and Ishaqzaade. A MOVIE like LSTCK needs an open date to release, like Paan Singh Tomar”. The revised date has not been announced yet.
