Actors Irrfan and Aditi Rao Hydari go desi to tickle your funny bone in a country comedy produced by Anjum Rizvi of A Wednesday fame. After a successful stint on the box office with their latest releases, Paan Singh Tomar and London Paris Ny respectively, the 2 are looking ahead to work
with each other.
The romantic comedy is directed by Shivam Nair and has Lucknow as its backdrop. It is going to have very local dialogue to retain the flavor of the town within the film. Giving a short lived insight into the storyline, Shivam says: “Irrfan plays a member of Saraswati Brass band that goes for weddings in Lucknow, and he keeps on testing and wooing girls attending the marriage. People will see him in a gentle role after a protracted gap. I always had Irrfan in mind even while writing the script, and i'm glad that he agreed.”
Why did he decide to cast the 45-year-old with Aditi, 33? “We were in search of a tender girl to play a personality of a street-smart girl. Aditi suits the nature perfectly and i'm happy that either one of them agreed. I'M sure they are going to look excellent with one another. The pair can be some of the highlights of the film,” he says. The film is up to now untitled, and is slated to head at the floor in June.
The actors are expected to move in for some training to know the local language, accent and culture well before they begin shooting for the film.
