She broke up with John Abraham in early 2011. And ever since then, Bipasha Basu was constantly linked with several men. However the latest twist — as per certain reports — is that “close friends” Bipasha and her Dum Maaro Dum (2011) co-star Rana Daggubati don't seem to be even on talking terms anymore.
“Rana and that i keep up a correspondence over the phone, between Hyderabad and Mumbai, almost each day. So I don’t know where these items (talks) come from. Honestly, he's an excellent friend of mine,” says Bipasha, who has also been linked with actor Shahid Kapoor within the recent past.
“Such stories are simply bizarre. First, they patch us up, and follow up by reporting a break-up. Then, if we're spotted in public, we’re tagged as friends. And strangely then, a couple of days later, we're not friends! It’s fine with me, but you shouldn’t read an excessive amount of into everything,” she insists.
It was reported that since Rana has now found his feet in Bollywood, and Bips is busy together with her work, they don’t need one another up to they did earlier. “Well, Rana was a pal during Dum Maaro Dum and he is still so. Whenever he's in Mumbai, we meet up with each other. And we also stay in contact after we are in numerous cities. And that’s about it. There’s nothing more to it,” says Bips.
Last year in December, there have been reports that Bipasha was miffed when Rana was spotted cosying up together with his rumoured girlfriend Trisha on the Sunburn Festival in Goa. It was also reported that Bips, who was imagined to attend the beach music fest, backed out on the last minute.
“Right now, I don’t have time for anyone else, but myself. And it is a good thing, because it’s keeping me really happy. But when something happens on that front (a brand new relationship), I MIGHT tell everyone,” insists Bips, who's busy shooting for Raaz 3 presently in addition putting together a brand new set of her fitness DVDs. She says, “After wrapping up Raaz 3, I WILL BE ABLE TO start shooting for both the DVDs. They need to be out later this year.”
