Salim Khan honours Shoojit Sircar for Vicky Donor

Veteran scriptwriter Salim Khan loved Shoojit Sircar's newly released film Vicky Donor such a lot that he called the young director to his residence and presented him with an award.

Salim, who has written scripts for plenty of a blockbuster including Sholay and Don, watched Vicky Donor and called Shoojit on Wednesday to award him with one in every of his own Filmfare trophies.

"I couldn't believe it was Salim Khan once I received the decision. He said, 'I saw your film with 10 women in my house and all of us loved it".

I have no idea the way you made this film. I even spoke on your scriptwriter. Either one of you have got done a commendable job so I WOULD LIKE to present you an award from my side'," Shoojit told PTI.

The director then went to Salim's house and the 76-year-old father of superstar Salman Khan presented Shoojit with a Filmfare trophy.

"He said that if this script was offered to him he would have turned it down because he couldn't handle this type of subject. After giving me the black trophy he asked me at hand it down as a legacy if I REALLY LIKE somebody else's work after some years. It was an excessively humble gesture on his part," Shoojit added.

Vicky Donor, a movie in keeping with the concept that of sperm donation, stars Annu Kapoor, newcomers Ayushmann Khurana and Yami Gautam. The film released on April 20.
