Looks like Shahid's Mausam blues continue to haunt him. Asin and Sonakshi have reportedly said no to starring opposite Shahid Kapur within the Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster film, Vettai, reports NDTV. While Sonakshi Sinha doesn't wish to do another hero-centric film post Dabangg 2 and Rowdy Rathore, Asin's schedule is packed with films like Most Wanted in 2013 with Salman and Sajid Nadiawala's upcoming film according to Chetan Bhagat's novel, Two States, opposite SRK.
Ileana D'Cruz, who's making her Bollywood debut with Ranbir's Barfee has agreed to do the role.
The movie may be an action flick directed by N Linguswamy, who also directed the unique Tamil film, with Shahid Kapur within the lead role. The Tamil version also starred R Madhavan, Arya, Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul within the lead roles while Ashutosh Rana, Thambi Ramaiah and Nasser played supporting roles.
Story plot
The film revolves around two brothers, the elder being sensitive to violence and the more youthful being a jobless rogue, settled in Thoothukudi. After the death in their father, a police officer, the elder brother takes at the same job by request of the more youthful. The older brother rises to fame in his job by having his younger brother secretly punish suspects and save victims for him. This angers two of the village's biggest mob bosses, who start to seek revenge at the elder brother.
After getting severely beaten by them, the elder brother loses his fear and becomes physically stronger through training from his younger brother. How the brothers come back at two gangs and protect their families form the remainder of the story.
