After the success of Vicky Donor and Housefull 2, actor turned producer, John Abraham (above) says he’s in a “happy state” at this point in his life. The 39-year-old revealed that it was Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone’s beefy look in action flick, Rocky IV, that pushed him to delight in regular workouts to construct the sculpted, enviable body, that he's now know for. John, who was recently within the Capital to launch Philips Bodygroom, also spoke about playing gangster Manya Surve in his upcoming film, Shootout at Wadala, his future projects, Vidya Balan and more.
On playing Surve
It goes to be a career defining film for me...a complete game changer. When people will see the film they'll forget John and only remember Manya. It’s going to shock people
On Vidya
She is an outstanding actor. Vidya has proved that a woman can carry a whole film on her shoulders on this film industry that's primarily dominated by men
On future films
My upcoming productions include Hamara Bajaj, Kala Ghoda and Jaffna. I'M also acting in Jaffna. Other acting projects include Race 2, Dostana 2, Shootout At Wadala and I, Me, aur Main
On life
I am in a cheerful space right now, both as an actor and producer. I WOULD LIKE to be a hands-on producer and show the arena that Indian cinema is meaningful and our films are greater than just song and dance
On Rs.100 cr club
This Rs.100 crore club exists in our industry. But, we have to realise that the character of film making is changing and so if today it’s Rs.100 crore..tomorrow it will likely be Rs.150 crore, after which Rs.200 crore club
On Delhi
I love coming to Delhi. And due to my upcoming films, I'LL BE visiting the Capital more often and can be spending more time here. It will likely be a large number of fun for me
