She loves him as a co-star and friend, but there’s just no chance, says Deepika Padukone, of her ever getting back in a relationship with Ranbir Kapoor.
Riding high at the success of her recent hit, Cocktail, a confident Padukone, who broke up with Ranbir over allegations of his infidelity, says, “We are back to being good friends, but there is not any question people dating again. I'VE a definite comfort level with Ranbir and there's no awkwardness because of our split. If I USED TO BE not happy with him, I wouldn’t have signed a movie opposite him,” she says, regarding filmmaker Ayan Mukherji’s Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, which stars the two.
But what about rumours of them spending a large number of quality time bonding at the sets in Rajasthan and Manali? “Yes, we spent time, but it’s only media that projected as though we were ever alone. Ayan and the opposite crew was always with us,” she says.
Talking about her red-hot ‘bikini’ scene in Cocktail that got the crowds whistling like mad, the 26-year-old actor says, “For me, it was just something that was within the script. I DIDN'T have a look at it as an ‘Oh-my-God’ moment.”
