It have been an even year for Esha Gupta, professionally. Her debut film, Jannat 2 opposite Emraan Hashmi, was some of the highest grossing movies of the year. It was followed by Raaz 3, which was another success on the box office. The dusky beauty is even considered to be a lucky mascot for the Bhatts (Vishesh Films). A PAL with regards to Esha says, “The Bhatts find her extremely lucky as she has given them two back-to-back hits and their first Rs. 100cr film.”
However, despite the pro high, Esha hit a private low last month, when she lost her grandmom.
“Esha was really with regards to her grandmom, and working with it's been tough for her,” says the friend, adding that the inside track left her so disheartened that she chose to not celebrate Diwali. “Her family had made plans, but everything was cancelled.”
Esha says, “When my granny gave up the ghost last month, I just desired to quietly spend the vacation at home with my family. It's been an ideal year for me. But I just didn't feel like celebrating.”
