Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and filmmaker Karan Johar, who're reportedly the one two personalities from India to be invited for the soon-to-start London Olympics, will now have company. News is that actor Anil Kapoor too have been invited by Hollywood filmmaker Danny Boyle for the hole ceremony of the massive sporting event, to be hung on July 27.
That's not all of the. actor has also received an invitation from another dignitary for a similar event. "EXCEPT Danny, who has reportedly been appointed the artistic director of the Olympic Games opening ceremony, Anil has also been invited by steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal," says the source.
Mittal is without doubt one of the many sponsors of this year's Olympics and can be some of the torchbearers on the event. The actor confirmed the inside track stating that he can be attending the grand gala, saying, "Yes, I'M attending the hole ceremony of the London Olympics this week."
However, the precise details of the actor's trip to London are yet to be finalised. Kapoor, who's currently shooting for producer-director Sanjay Gupta's prequel, Shootout At Wadala, has taken a couple of days off from the filming schedule, so he could make time for the headline-grabbing extravaganza.
"Anil desires to attend the event, but not on the cost of his forthcoming film. So, he has taken leave in some way that will not hamper the schedule of the continued shoot," explains the source.
The actor has also made plans to fulfill Indian players participating within the Games, to spice up their spirit, added the source.
