Accident-prone Vivek Oberoi clearly must watch his step. The actor has made more news for the collection of times he has hurt himself on film sets, than he has for his film roles. Back in 2003, he had broken his leg while filming an action scene for Mani Ratnam’s Yuva (2004). In September, he had another accident while attempting a stunt for Kismet Paisa Love Dilli (KLPD).
Then a couple of months ago, he injured his back while filming another action sequence at the sets of his upcoming movie, Zilla Ghaziabad. And now, Vivek has hurt his knee.
For the shoot of a romantic song, the actor was speculated to kiss his co-star, Charmy Kaur, while riding a bike. But moments into the shoot, he lost his balance and the two-wheeler toppled, throwing him off.
“The bike skidded and he fell off and injured himself. A PHYSICIAN was immediately called at the sets. As a result, the shooting was delayed by about three hours,” says a source, adding, “He was badly injured, but he didn't let the shoot suffer.” The actor, like within the cases of all his past accidents, continued to work in pain and shot the song in half an hour.
Talking concerning the incident, producer Vinod Bachchan says, “Vivek slipped while we were shooting for Zilla Ghaziabad. We were all quite scared, as he had injured himself badly. But we finished shooting for the song on time.”
Directed by Anand Kumar, the film also stars Arshad Warsi and Sanjay Dutt, among others. South actor Charmy will make her Bollywood debut with this release.
