Sanjay Dutt offers vanity van to Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose

Not many of us learn about Sanjay Dutt’s passion for rock music. He have been an enormous fan of the enduring American band, Gun N’ Roses ever since they rose to global. fame within the late ’80s. And now, the actor plans to head all out in order for the musicians have a snug stay during their
debut tour of India next month. He has offered the band’s celebrated frontman Axl Rose his vanity van for his or her concert in Mumbai, for you to be hung on December 9 on the MMRDA Grounds in Bandra.

“It’s an honour to have Axl use my van. He's a legendary artiste; no person can sing, behave or perform like him. I’ve grown up paying attention to Guns N’ Roses and i'm extremely happy that they’re finally coming to India,” says Sanjay, who desires to get Axl to sign a guitar for him, as a way to then be added to the actor’s special collection comprising 12 guitars signed by musicians from world wide (see box). “I can’t play the guitar, but I LIKE maintaining my collection,” he says. As a token of his appreciation, Sanjay also plans on presenting the band with a memento. “The gift is a surprise that I won’t reveal anything about right now,” says Sanjay.

However, this won’t be the primary time Sanjay will watch them perform live.

“I saw them in Big apple in 1991. It was a spectacular show,” he recalls. The band could have undergone several line-up changes since then, however the actor says he's still looking ahead to watching their Mumbai gig.

“It’s going to be one big party. It’ll be great to observe them perform a few of my favourite songs like ‘November rain’, ‘Paradise city’ and ‘Sweet child o’ mine’”, says Sanjay.

Six sting story
A rock and blues aficionado, Sanjay Dutt owns a set of 12 guitars which have been signed by renowned artistes, including bluesmen David Trout, Buddy Guy and Joe Bonamassa.

He also possesses all of the guitar series by Pink Floyd guitarist-singer David Gilmour in addition to guitars signed by the English band’s drummer Nick Mason and late keyboardist Rick Wright. The gathering also includes special pieces signed by members of INXS and Uriah Heep.
