Salman Khan to shoot in London for next with a whopping sum of Rs. 150 crore

By Hindustan Times

Over the past few years, Salman Khan has turned several places into veritable battle fields - Cuba and Dublin for Ek Tha Tiger; and closer home, north India's hinterlands for the Dabangg series; and the streets of Mumbai for Wanted (2008). Now, the most recent destination is London, way to producer
Sajid Nadiadwala's directorial debut, Kick.

Sajid's love for London as a location is easily known, together with his last two productions - Housefull (2010) and Housefull 2 - shot there. Now, he's prepared to shoot Kick, besides the following Housefull installment, there. "I REALLY LIKE shooting in London. The truth that I'M back to shoot a 3rd and a fourth film here's proof of that," he says.

Other information about the film are yet to be revealed, and all Sajid says in jest is, "I wish they reduce the pound-to-rupee conversion rates!" Money, however, hardly appears to be a priority for the film that's more likely to go at the floors next year. It has been learnt that the combined budget for Kick and Housefull 3 is around £35 million, which roughly converted, is around Rs. 300 crores.

What's also interesting is that till last year, South Korea was the rumoured shooting location for Kick. An insider says, "WE ARE NOT sure about Korea, but Sajid wants a swanky search for the film. That's why he opted for London."

After finalising his location, Nadiadwala is now engaged on the script - together with his team of writers led by Chetan Bhagat - in a way so that you can do justice to London. "He desires to make Kick a movie that no person would expect from Salman. He also wants state-of-the-art action sequences," adds the insider. That's why he roped in international stunt directors Philippe Guégan and Spiro Razatos, as we reported earlier.
