Sanjay Leela Bhansali bans cell phones on film sets

By Hindustan Times

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a person with an overly strict plan. After images from the sets of his tentatively titled film, Ram Leela were leaked, the furious filmmaker made a rule and was very firm to enforce it.

A source with regards to the film reveals, “The undeniable fact that the photographs were leaked didn’t go down too well with Sanjay. Though the pictures weren’t very clear, he was angry because he doesn’t want anyone to grasp what the set looks as if or about everything that he has planned for the film.” And it’s for a similar reason, the source says, that Bhansali has banned using mobile phones at the sets.

“Sanjay has asked his entire unit, including the lead actors, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, not to use their mobiles while shooting. He doesn't want another fiasco and has made it clear that whoever enters the sets should switch off their phones. He does it himself now, that's why he’s unavailable among the times,” the source says.

Recently, even Milan Luthria had banned the usage of phones to circumvent photo leaks at the sets of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2, in Oman.
