Bodyguard sequel in pipeline!

By Hindustan Times

Producer Atul Agnihotri is operating on a sequel to the Salman Khan-starrer film Bodyguard. The 2011 romantic-action film directed by south film director Siddique was the third remake of the director's own film of the similar name. The film was produced by Atul Agnihotri and starred Salman and Kareena Kapoor. It went directly to become one of the vital biggest blockbusters of the year, earning over Rs. 230 crore.

"Its work is under progress for the Bodyguard sequel. We're working only at the script these days. We're doing a fresh tackle Bodyguard," Agnihotri told PTI.

Earlier, there have been reports that the sequel have been shelved.

Asked concerning the star cast, Agnihotri says, "WE'VE NOT zeroed down at the cast yet. Impossible to make a sequel without Salman."

Director Siddique isn't part of the sequel, Agnihotri said. As to who could be writing and directing it then, he said, "WE CAN update once things fall in place."
