Bombay Velvet on cards, looking ahead to right time: Kashyap

By Hindustan Times

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's plans to make Bombay Velvet with Ranbir Kapoor has been placed on hold as his brother Abhinav has signed the actor for Besharam. But he is not disappointed one bit. "I'M REALLY NOT disappointed. It is not getting postponed. It'll happen on the right time," Anurag told
reporters here at an event.

In fact, he feels he has more time to be had to work at the movie, in accordance with Mumbai Fables, a semi-fictional study of Bombay within the 1960s by Gyan Prakash, a historian and professor of history at Princeton University.

"It's an immense film -- I NEED TO create town of Bombay of 1960s digitally. It cannot be done overnight," he added.

Talking concerning the relationship he shares with Abhinav, who directed blockbuster Dabangg, Anurag said: "One has to grasp that everyone has responsibilities to fulfill, but I had none of them. Abhinav took care of these responsibilities and he said you pursue your dream and i'm here.

"The day Dev D became a hit, he said 'You take the charge now, I'M coming to make a film'. So that is the contribution of my brother in my life. So people can speculate anything," he added.
