Ferrari Ki Sawari is his first solo film and actor Sharman Joshi, who has mostly been part of multi-starrers, says he isn't bothered by audience's expectations from him. The 33-year-old actor, who has starred in films like Rang de Basanti and three Idiots, is making his debut as a solo
lead in his 13 year long career with Ferrari.
When asked whether he thinks he can live as much as audience's expectations, Sharman said, "I DO NOT care. The audience has the selection to not care and in addition do I. I do my work with complete faith and belief.
"There are several parts I'VE played over time and it is very important for me to enjoy what I do that. is my first film as a solo lead and i'm extremely pleased with it. I'M sure the audience will love it and appreciate that any such film was made in our country, way to Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajesh Mapuskar."
Sharman went through 30-40 auditions for the film before he landed the role.
"The incontrovertible fact that I loved the script and i desired to work with Vidhu Vinod Chopra productions where I knew that quality can be ensured, made me work flat out for it. I THINK privileged to work within the film. 30-40 auditions isn't a large deal," he said.
The film shows Sharman as a center class man striving to fulfil his son's dreams. Having played in the direction of life roles in "Ferrari" and his previous film 3 Idiots, Sharman says his next will see him a unique avatar.
"I am here for the long haul, for no less than 30-40 years and that i need to do films in various genres. Common man is the way you see me right now, next you will see me in a special avatar," he said.
