Indian movies going around the globe: Priyanka Chopra

By Hindustan Times

Leading Bollywood stars Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra today launched the 12-day-long Indian Film Festival here.

Speaking at press conference, Priyanka said Indian films are being noticed world over. "What we provide as Indian movies is colour and culture and music and celebration and drama and love, and that i think that's representative of our culture. I FEEL Indian movies are going beyond just the shores of India or the South-Asian subcontinent - it's going all around the world," the actor said.

Shahid, who's starring with Chopra in Teri Meri Kahaani, said: "I FEEL what's beautiful about our films is that they are different from the type of films that individuals get to look otherwise, and that i think that's why we more or less stand out".

Festival director Mitu Bhowmick Lange said they're going to screen 40 films through the period, including the sector premiere of Teri Meri Kahaani. "It's near to bringing these two worlds as close as possible and being this really good, fun, cultural bridge between the 2 countries," Lange said.
