Vidya Balan have been living out of a suitcase for some time now, way to the endorsements she’s taken on. And in an upcoming ad for a biscuit brand, the actor has a double role that sees her reliving her Parineeta (2005) and The Dirty Picture (2011) characters in one frame.
“We desired to bring two different characters to life in a single frame because that’s the ideology of the product I’m endorsing. There’s a Silk and a Parineeta in me. I THINK a girl plays different roles always. So all of it fell into place smoothly and that i revisited two of my most diverse characters in a single go,” says Vidya.
The actor, who made her debut with Hum Paanch on Zee TV, was around for with regards to a decade. However, she hasn't ever played a double role. “I’ve always desired to do a double role. I completely loved Sridevi and Hemaji (Hema Malini) in ChalBaaz (1989) and Seeta Aur Geeta (1972), but we don’t appear to have such concepts in films anymore,” says Vidya.
The National Award winner, who might be seen endorsing Aliva biscuits soon, could also be set to start schedules of Ghanchakkar and Shaadi Ke Uncomfortable side effects shortly. “The shooting for Ghanchakkar hasn’t begun, but I’m desirous about it. I’ll get to do a comedy after an extended time,” says Vidya, adding, “Most comedy films don’t give the heroine the thrill parts. But I’ll get to perform a little real comedy in Ghanchakkar. I share a really perfect work equation with director Rajkumar Gupta and Emraan (Hashmi). It's going to be fun!”
