American chat show queen Oprah Winfrey frolicked with Mumbai’s slum-dwelling families, an image from the shoot of her new show has revealed.
In one of the most episodes, she accompanies Australian author Gregory David Roberts of bestselling novel Shantaram, to make a visit to the slums and to satisfy a family of 5 members living on a meagre salary in 10X10 room.
Oprah Winfrey shoots with the Hegde family of their 10x10 room within the slums of Colaba in Mumbai. She also bites right into a traditional thali within the Discovery Channel show, titled Oprah’s Next Chapter. “I specifically desired to experience India. The ambiguity of India. The highs and the lows and the sweetness and the sorrow in between and that's exactly what I did,” says Winfrey.
