Karan Johar's 40th party was one helluva event. B-Town biggies were in full attendance, including Priyanka Chopra with whom he recently had a miles publicised spat.
Film critic Rajeev Masand wrote on his blog for Open that PC not just patched up with Karan but additionally with star wives who've lately been snubbing her at various events. "SO THAT YOU know Priyanka Chopra showed up on the party after all, amidst all that will-she-won't-she speculation following her very public fallout with the filmmaker recently. What you most likely haven't heard is that the actress was literally the toast of the party that evening, getting much attention from one of the very stars (and their wives) who'd reportedly snubbed her not goodbye ago. You would not have guessed in the event you saw them together that evening that these ladies have been fighting a chilly war recently."
"This has only prompted industrywalas to invest that maybe the diktat to increase an olive branch to PC was issued to the star wives and the birthday boy from an influential star that the actress might need gone crying to," he added.
