2012 is popping out to be an ideal year for Bollywood. Akshay Kumar's Rowdy Rathore is the newest film to put in writing a hit story at BO and cross Rs. 100 crore mark. The film have been doing well at single screens in addition to multiplexes.
The film has garnered Rs. 101.5 cr nett.
"#RowdyRathore collected Rs. 22 cr nett in Wknd 2, taking the entire to Rs. 101.5 cr nett. Breakup:- Fri 5.1 cr, Sat 6.4 cr, Sun 10.5 cr +," tweeted trade expert Taran Adarsh.
"#RowdyRathore has crossed Rs. 100 cr nett mark on the end of Weekend 2. Has performed exceptionally well at single screens in addition to plexes," he added.
First week report
Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#RowdyRathore rakes in Rs. 48.5 crore in 3 days."
"RowdyRathore Breakup:- Fri 15.1 cr, Sat 14.7 cr, Sun 18.5 cr +. Total: Rs. 48.5 cr + nett. Biggest non-holiday weekend. Fantabulous," he added.
His another tweet read: "#RowdyRathore Monday trends: Rocking... Expect a big, fat total on Monday... 'Wowdy' Rathore!"
Rowdy Rathore is Khiladi Kumar's biggest solo opening. The actor thanked his fans on Twitter: "I owe an enormous thanks to my audience! You're the only reason for the largest opening weekend of my career! Love Rowdy."
Film analyst Komal Nahta had earlier tweeted in regards to the film's potential to cross 100 crore mark: "Straight B-L-O-C-K-B-U-S-T-E-R! That is what Rowdy Rathore is!! Next 100-crore film? All chances!"
