Sharmila Tagore has confirmed to Mid Day that her son Saif Ali Khan, 41, will tie the knot with Kareena Kapoor, 31, on October 16 this year. The veteran actress added that there'll be a reception soon after, though not a lavish one. "Yes, that is the date we've decided upon. There'll be a reception, too, but not an excessively big one," Sharmila Tagore told the tabloid.
Sharmila had earlier told Hindustan Times: "Saif's wedding will happen once the elements improves (after the summer and monsoon)."
Sources suggest that Kareena wouldn't take a break for honeymoon and would shoot for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next.
The wedding, a low-key affair, could be held on the Pataudis' ancestral home. It'll only be attended by immediate members of the family of the couple.
Kareena Kapoor will continue to work after marriage.
