Congratulations on winning the IPL. Gautam Gambhir has done an ideal job. Gautam is an excessively sensible and disciplined captain who's very clear about what he wants. After I went for the auctions, he said, ‘We have a fantastically-balanced team but I NEED Sunil Narine.’ Personally too, he's at some extent in his career where he's instinctively taking the entire right decisions.
Is the win corresponding to a movie release?
It’s a distinct feeling altogether. Nor is good unless the film becomes successful otherwise you win the overall. However the difference is that during a film, I'M participating actively. I DO KNOW what has gone into it, or whether I LOVE it or dislike it.
But for me, an IPL final is similar to something like this: for those who multiply it 10 times to India playing in a last against another team. And you are feeling like your team is India (smiles).
How did you are feeling when KKR won?
Someone said that I had become insane and i'm dealing with a mid-life crisis and cut a sorry figure. And that i was insane enough that moment, once I was standing on that balcony. I swear on my children — I got up on that balcony [to leap off] and that i would was the primary human to fly!
I knew that if I MAY take off from that balcony, I MIGHT be capable to fly to where they were putting up the victory stand, and land safely. And that i really desired to fly. After which my sister, Gauri and Suhana caught me. And that i was very angry with them. I told them, ‘You have taken away my chance to turn the sector that I WILL BE ABLE TO fly.’
Do you regret the MCA incident?
I'M not justifying my action. I am really very sorry for my kids. I didn’t visit Wankhede as a team owner. I went there to pick out up my kids. And that i wasn’t abusing somewhat girl and that i don’t. I WILL BE ABLE TO abuse a grown-up man and that i did. But you can’t say immoral and non-secular things to me ever, because my kids haven't grown up like that.
But you've been angry…
I got angry and disturbed and thought, ‘Okay, I CAN win the IPL because people feel I don’t know the way to run a company.’ And those also said that suddenly, there’s a chink in King Khan’s armour.
But I NEED to inform people I didn’t say that I WILL BE ABLE TO do no wrong. I HAVE NOT claimed to do the proper of items and make politically correct statements. Sometimes, I THINK the rationale I'VE become a celeb beyond my films is that i'm politically incorrect.
Why do you think that persons are writing or talking about you badly?
It’s boring now that I’m successful. Even for journalists. Take a look at Dhoni, he's an excellent captain and cricketer. He's a dream guy from a small town. So someday he does everything fine, with a large swimming pool at the terrace, lot of ads and money. And within the last four-five months, he isn’t ok. Sachin Tendulkar, for me, is the very best individual. Not me.
Do you are feeling Suhana is lucky for you? Where was Aryan throughout the matches?
Suhana is lucky because she is my daughter. Aryan had exams. He's like me. If you happen to break his heart over something, he gives up. He feels like, ‘Arrey what sort of team is that this? It doesn’t win.’ While you get too heartbroken, you just move on.
So he moved on. Now he has a special tackle it. He says, ‘Because I moved on, they won.’ So I asked him if he would come [to the matches] next year. And he said, ‘No, papa, I CAN keep moving on so they keep winning.’ He has made a perfect sacrifice to maintain moving on.
The family man
He may look a bit wiped out and exhausted in spite of everything the celebrations to mark KKR’s victory, but his famous energy levels are still going strong. Even supposing King Khan’s detractors has been hard on him within the recent past, he remains cool and calm along with his family no less than. You get a glimpse of SRK the family man when his daughter Suhana demands that he teach her maths for her test on Friday.
“I must visit the dentist, but I WILL BE ABLE TO teach you. You don’t sleep,” SRK tells Suhana.
On the opposite hand, his wife Gauri insists that he leaves soon for his appointment with the dentist.
“I am a superstar and all of the world revolves around me except my dentist,” laughs SRK.
He also confesses that he wrote an extended piece at 5 am the morning after KKR’s win.
“I keep writing whenever I'M sitting alone. Sooner or later I BELIEVE I WILL BE ABLE TO start my very own tabloid,” he jokes.
