It’s the season for making friends in Bollywood. And the most recent BFFs on the town appear to be Sonam Kapoor and Bipasha Basu. But unlike their contemporaries who appear to be friends for the sake of being friends, these two actually share a typical interest — fitness. The actors, it seems, bonded for the primary time at the sets of Players. And while the film didn’t do too well, it did so much for the leading ladies’ friendship. “Ever since Players, either one of them was very keen on one another. Sonam, especially, has always been impressed with Bipasha’s level of fitness. Whenever they get time, they exchange notes on fitness and fashion,” says an industry insider.
Now, the 2 actors might take their common interest a step further. “The two at the moment are planning to see together whenever their shooting schedules permit. Sonam looks as much as Bipasha, because the latter is a hardcore fitness enthusiast. The 2 of them get along like a home on fire,” says a source with reference to Bipasha.
Not surprisingly, the actors have expressed their mutual admiration even in twitterverse. Sonam wrote about Bips: “You are an inspiration! Love your attitude Bips… wish I MAY channel that positivity! (sic)” To which, Bips responded: “U r adorable! Believe and it happens! (sic)”
Sonam and Bips’s equation, of course, was evident earlier, in the course of the promotion of Players, when Sonam claimed they shared a “talkative” equation. “We can’t keep our mouths shut. We just need to speak about ourselves,” Sonam had said.
