About per week ago, Sunny Leone made headlines for an incomparable reason. Her Jism 2 director, Pooja Bhatt, had announced that she would auction the entire costumes of the solid — including their underwear — for a charitable cause.
While the scoop created a media furore, there has been a slight problem. Apparently Pooja had declared the charity auction without informing Sunny and when the scoop went viral, the actor was caught unawares.
“She was just a little upset as it wasn’t discussed with her,” says a source at the sets of Jism 2. “She doesn’t have any issues with the auction, but when she were informed, she would was better prepared for all of the queries.”
According to our source, the dearth of communication occurred because Sunny had returned to India from the Jism 2 shoot in Sri Lanka the day Pooja made the announcement. “And what’s there to be upset about? The entire clothes belong to the producers and
they can do whatever they would like with them?” says the source. The proceeds from the charity event will visit PETA.
Later however, the actor discussed the problem with Pooja and other cast members of Jism 2, and clarified the problem via her Twitter account. “I don’t own the wardrobe,” she posted at the microblogging website. “It sucks I didn’t find out about( the auction). I don’t really know anything about it. I’m not personally selling any worn clothes from Jism 2. If the Jism 2 company is selling them for charity then it’s an excellent thing. Hopefully all of the money goes to (an excellent) charity (sic).”
“It was a spur of the instant decision. Once she came back to Sri Lanka, we informed her. So she was within the loop about everything leaving no room for her to be upset,” says Jism 2’s co-producer Dino Morea.
At the time of going to press, neither Sunny, who was on a flight to Los Angeles, nor Pooja, who's still in Sri Lanka, may well be contacted. Jism 2 will release on August 3.
