Aamir Khan's special treat for sister's 50th birthday

By Hindustan Times

Aamir Khan, who was scheduled to go away for Chicago for the shooting of Dhoom 3 on August 3, will now leave an afternoon later. He doesn't wish to miss out being part of his sister Nikhat's 50th birthday celebrations.

Nikhat turns 50 on August 3, an afternoon after Raksha Bandhan. Aamir had planned to celebrate Rakhi together with her on August 2, and leave on August 3 night, but he has altered his plans after all the family planned to have a lavish party at the night of Nikhat's special day.

When he heard in regards to the party, Aamir requested Dhoom 3 director Vijay Krishna Acharya aka Victor and producer Aditya Chopra if he can be allowed to depart an afternoon later as he didn't wish to disrupt shooting or upset any schedule, said a source.

The duo were greater than accommodating and felt Aamir could join the shooting on August 6. Now Aamir will leave for Chicago Aug 4. He's going to be back in Mumbai within the first week of November, in step with the source.

Aamir has had his hands full this year. The actor, who's known for doing only one project at a time, was juggling his TV show Satyamev Jayate, and his films - Dhoom 3 and Reema Kagti's Talaash.

No wonder the 47-year-old hasn't been in a position to spend quality time along with his family.
