Satyamev Jayate wraps up, Aamir bids adieu

By Hindustan Times

Farewells are bittersweet- bitter since the journey should be halted and sweet as a result of experience the adventure turned out to be.

This is the idea of about one thousand million Indians today, as Satyamev Jayate's last episode was aired. Aamir Khan, the mind, producer and the host of the show affected everyone wonderfully along with his raging social issues, sensitive opinions and greater than anything, delicate sentiments.

He spoke about issues like water, old-age, untouchability, alcohol abuse, toxic food, domestic violence, persons with disabilities, intolerance to love, every life is precious, big fat indian wedding, child sexual abuse and feminine foeticide.

In his last and the thirteenth episode that aired today, Aamir Khan threw light at the relentless work many socal workers are doing for the betterment of the community and the country, with none returns.

They are the unsung heroes of today.

The effect of the show will also be seen at the microblogging site, Twitter besides with trending of the program's initiative Let My India Awake.

People are increasingly sharing their feelings in regards to the show ending and the adaptation it has made to their lives. Individuals are saying:

@shilpidpathak: #LetMyIndiaAwake to a brand new morning of hope, love and brotherhood, where there's no terrorism, no fear and no no malice

@RishabhMalik: #LetMyIndiaAwake to my brothers from different mothers tagged as of diff caste.I don't accept the tags given by the society.

@nkfreaky9: #LetMyIndiaAwake to take an acceptable decision by taking common peoples in mind...

@RonyDutta: The last episode of Satyamev Jayate. Very very inspirational! #LetMyIndiaAwake

@junejarajiv: #LetMyIndiaAwake to a spot where everyone fulfills his/her responsibilities and feel proud about that.

One of the highlights of the show have been that Aamir Khan has taken an overly humanitarian, non-political stance on the entire issues the show has garnered details about. The motive is to result in healthy change, that may be above the divided of caste, class, religion and politics.

But this good thing, needn't necessarily end. Aamir Khan has hinted at a comeback for the show, to go back with newer issues within the second season of Satyamev Jayate.

Till then, just like the last song in Satyamev Jayate is worded- Nikal Pado Re Bandhu, Nikal Pado Re, Nikal Pado Re, Arey Na Mumkin Bhi Mumkin Hove, Karke Dekho Re Bandh, Nikal Pado Re, Aamir Khan hopes all of us do our bit to make this country a greater place.
