Who would have considered pitting eternal bachelors Karan Johar and Manish Malhotra against the likes of Shahid Kapoor for the title of ‘India’s sexiest bachelor’? But when sources are to be believed, the 3 of them might be fighting it out for the title in an episode of India’s Sexiest
Bachelor.
Shahid was within the list of the highest 10 hopefuls at the Big CBS’ home-grown reality show for 2 years in a row. His competition this year might include actors Rana Daggubati and Arjun Kapoor; politician Rahul Gandhi; industrialist Ness Wadia and cricketers Irfan Pathan and Zaheer Khan. Actor Salman Khan could also be being considered this season.
According to the channel head honcho Tarun Katial, the list is probably going to undergo changes in case a number of of the contestants doesn’t wish to be featured. “We could have to copy contestants from the former season or search for men from lesser-known walks of life,” says Tarun.
The winner might be selected the foundation of audience votes. While pageants for ladies are commonplace, it’s rare to look a competition for men.
“There’s no dearth of female celebrities in India. But it’s not the similar with the lads as there are fewer desirable bachelors at the scene,” Tarun reasons. Last season’s winner was actor John Abraham. “John, of course, can't be at the list because he’s won the primary season. But even the primary runner-up stands a possibility to win this season.”
Tarun also says that season two of India’s Glam Diva, the feminine version of India’s Sexiest Bachelor, is at the cards. He promises there won’t be repeats on that list.
“Priyanka Chopra was the winner last year. This year, her cousin Parineeti Chopra may well be at the list,” he says.
