Are they seeing one another? Will they marry? When will they marry? Anyone who’s even faintly desirous about the gossip that emerges from Bollywood was wondering in regards to the relationship between actor Rani Mukerji and media-shy filmmaker Aditya Chopra for a few years. Well, in line with an insider from Yash Raj Films (YRF), Rani and Aditya has been married for several months now. The marriage apparently happened around Diwali last year.
“They didn’t want people to grasp they're married because Rani has two films releasing this year (Talaash and Aiyya),” says our source. “The news in their wedding might hamper the prospects of the flicks. They'll declare their marriage after the films release.”
According to insiders, the workers of YRF see Rani as greatly a part of the Chopra family. “Everyone in YRF addresses her as Bhabhi (sister-in-law),” says our source. “She keeps a watch at the studios and make-up rooms as if they were her own home, and likewise keeps the YRF employees on their toes.”
The couple recently celebrated Rani’s birthday in London, where the forged and crew of Yash Chopra’s untitled film has been shooting for the past month, adds our source. “Rani cut her birthday cake there with Adi. They kept it an overly private affair. Only Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif were invited,” says the insider.
During the film’s shoot, says our source, the couple stayed together on the Four Seasons Hotel, unlike the remainder of the unit which was publish on the nearby Washington Mayfair Hotel.
This is Aditya Chopra’s second marriage. The filmmaker and his first wife, his highschool sweetheart Payal, divorced in 2009. Despite several attempts to contact Aditya and Rani, they both remained unavailable for comments.
