Ekta angry about Kya Super Kool... dialogue

By Hindustan Times

Producer Ekta Kapoor and Kya Super Kool Hain Hum director Sachin Yardi apparently had a falling out over a dialogue within the film, which takes a dig at actors Nargis Fakhri and Diana Penty.

Says a source, “In the scene, Tusshar Kapoor tells Riteish Deshmukh, ‘Pehle ki heroines ke naam hote the Madhubala, Waheeda Rahman, aur ab dekho Penty, Fakhri.’ Ekta wanted this dialogue to be removed as she felt it was in bad taste, but Sachin didn’t listen and hence there has been a large number of friction between them over this.”

On being contacted Yardi says, “Ekta insisted on not using the scene involving the names of Fakhri (Nargis) and Penty (Diana). We argued so much and that i told her that I’m the director. It’s my film. I CAN do it my way.”

Meanwhile, Ekta, who will visit the Capital today to unveil the film’s ‘A’ trailer, with a view to release only at the web, refused to touch upon the matter.
