Suniel Shetty plans to launch daughter

By Hindustan Times

There’s one more star kid at the block. Suniel Shetty is gearing as much as launch his daughter, Athiya, who's now back from her film school course on the The big apple Film Academy (NYFA). Ask Suniel how soon we're more likely to see Athiya acting in a Bollywood film, and he says, “She’s an especially talented kid and he or she goes to get into it, hopefully very, very soon.”

Unlike Sanjay Dutt, who recently announced that his daughter Trishala won't ever act in films, Suniel doesn't appear to harbour misgivings about ‘big, bad Bollywood’. He says, “I am a father, so I WILL BE ABLE TO do anything to peer that my daughter is excited in what she does. I never ask her why she desires to take in this profession, as I ACTUALLY find it irresistible. And that i know she is as safe as she desires to be.”

With the vast collection of newcomers already within the industry, the contest goes to be stiff even for a celeb kid. However, Suniel is fully conscious about this. In fact, the recommendation he’s given to his daughter is sound and vital: “The only thing I ask her is whether or not she is going to have the opportunity handle failure. That’s the one fear. If she doesn’t succeed, is she strong enough to deal with the brickbats?”

So, is the doting father more likely to produce a movie himself for his daughter, or is he in talks with a producer? “It’s too early to discuss that. We're in talks with producers. We've got a plan for her,” he says.

Suniel himself is currently shooting for Mere Dost Picture Abhi Baaki Hai, wherein he plays a struggling film director. “Ninety-five per cent of the folk serious about the industry — whether or not they are writers, actors, directors, lightmen, cameramen — undergo this journey. It’s about rejection, hope, rejection again, and the seesaw of our industry, since the ball game keeps changing Friday to Friday. People from all walks of life might be in a position to relate to it, and it'll be an eye-opener for Athiya as well,” says Suniel.
