Deepika and Saif calm down!

By Hindustan Times

Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan are super excited with the wonderful response to Cocktail’s promo and songs, they said in a talk with Hindustan Times’ film critic Anupama Chopra on her show Front Row with Anupama Chopra. The actors also had two different versions to share
about their rapport with director Homi Adajania.

“We keep making fun of him, that that is his comeback film because like 10 people watched Being Cyrus and so he finally succumbed to creating commercial movies,” joked Deepika. Saif, at the other hand, subtly praised his director. “Homi always surprises in a good looking way where he’s actually probably the most committed person at the set, and he made sure he learned the language for this film. Homi injected a Delhi flavour into my role. Actually he had me dub a few of it,” he said.

When asked why he goes for romantic flicks despite the fact that he likes darker movies, Saif replied, “Because I'VE a partner in film production. It’s slightly chick-flicky that's wonderful, and great fun to behave in. (But someday) I’d love to make maybe a spy thriller.” To that, Deepika sarcastically said, “That’s really weird because love stories suit him.” The episode airs this Friday on Star World.
