Happy to make Ajay Devgn dance in Bol Bachchan: Rohit Shetty

By Hindustan Times

Director Rohit Shetty has made Ajay Devgn groove to a desi dance number for the primary time in Bol Bachchan and far to his surprise the actor was very comfortable shaking a leg.

The 39-year-old filmmaker, who teams up another time with Devgn after hits like Golmaal and Singham, said it was fun to peer Devgn enjoying dancing within the movie.

"His character is such within the film, and once we recorded the song we would have liked him to bounce slightly. Within the background we do not have handsome looking dancers but they're all fighters, my action team and Pehlwans. All are in off sync and Ajay enjoyed doing it. He needed to be off sync, out of rhythm since the character demands that. He didn't mind doing the dancing in any respect and it turned out well," Rohit told PTI.

The film sees Devgn play the role of a dumb headed fighter and in addition stars Abhishek Bachchan, Asin Thottumkal, and Prachi Desai. Rohit took inspiration to make the action-comedy from Hrishikesh Mukherjee's 1979 Gol Maal but he says that its only the theory that's similar.

"I have taken the speculation from Gol Maal but I'VE changed the script completely. We bought the film rights as it was fair because the idea belongs to them. I'VE seen Gol Maal 30-40 times, it very with regards to my heart and that i desired to show the similar story on a larger canvass," he says.

This is Rohit's seventh film with Devgn and the duo have proved to be successful jodi in the case of box office success. Asked if Devgn has become his lucky mascot, Rohit says,"I have never thought it like that we've got. worked together in seven films and we're engaged on another script together so never considered 'How did it happen' or 'Was it successful formula'. I AM HOPING we continue to work together."
