Is Sunny Leone's Jism 2 song 'inspired' from a Turkish track?

By Hindustan Times

Jism 2's erotic title track, featuring Sunny Leone getting intimate with Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh, is outwardly inspired from a Turkish number. The 2 contenders for it are Kayahan's Bizimkisi Bir Ask Hikayesi and Bengu's Unut Beni.

Kayahan and Bengu Erden are Turkish pop singers and feature many bestselling albums to their credit.

Composed by Arko Pravo Mukherjee, the Jism song has vocals by Ali Azmat and lyrics by Arko Pravo Mukherjee and Munish Makhija. Arko denied the reports to a regular: "Every composer is encouraged. There is not any copyright to folk songs like Dama Dam Mast Kalandar. That's why we get such a lot of versions of it. There are some West Asian tunes that experience a generic melody. I'VE heard numerous such tunes that might have inspired me both consciously or subconsciously. The hole melodies of many Turkish songs are similar. In fact, a few of my friends have told me that they've stumble upon a minimum of four songs with similar opening melodies as that of Yeh Jism. I still feel people should hear my song in totality before jumping the gun."

The erotic thriller revolves around a porn star (Sunny), who's hired by a dashing intelligence officer (Arunoday) to become a honey-trap for a dreaded assassin (Randeep). In doing so, she not just has to confront her bitter-sweet past, but could also be forced to make an impossible choice - person who will put her own life in double jeopardy.

Sunny Leone on her character: "THERE ARE LOTS OF aspects in me which are very similar to the nature I'm portraying on screen. She is an overly complex person with different shades. There's a huge sense of loss this character goes through, and that i believe that almost all men and women have passed through this whether in relationships or family. My character is attempting to seek out her way, the correct way, but goes through so much in her mind to figure it out."

"Jism 2 was an overly gratifying experience! Thanks Pooja for challenging my withering soul and making it bloom," Mahesh Bhatt had tweeted. Producer-director, Pooja Bhatt replied: "THAT MAY BE way more generous than is right. But then that's your nature. I thanks for giving me a director proof script."

Jism 2 is a sequel to 2003 flick Jism which had John Abraham and Bipasha Basu within the lead roles.

The film is slated for August 3 release.
