Konkona back on film sets, says Ranvir

By Hindustan Times

Actor Ranvir Shorey says his wife, actor Konkona Sen Sharma, who took a sabbatical after their son Haroon’s birth, is back under arc lights.

Konkona, who was last seen in a cameo in 2011 release, 7 Khoon Maaf, might be seen in filmmaker Anant Mahadevan’s Gaur Hari Dastaan. She plays Odisha’s freedom fighter Gaur Hari Das’ wife in it.

“She goes to come back out full guns blazing. That part we played quite well. I took six months off, she took two years off. Haroon came to the sets of Gaur Hari Dastaan when he was not up to a year,” said Ranvir, who's creating a special appearance within the film.

Ranvir and Konkona tied the knot in September 2010 and had a son in 2011. “Haroon’s birth really had a profound effect on me and that i think it had on Konkona also. It's fabulous, it's the smartest thing that has happened to me. The sort of beautiful feeling I can’t tell you,” Ranvir said, adding: “It’s a fantastic experience. My mother passed on to the great beyond about eight-nine years ago and he or she always was after me to get married. I WAS like, ‘No, not now.’ And now once I have a family, I realise what she meant,” he added.
