I DON'T THINK in promotions but must do it: Paresh Rawal

Versatile actor Paresh Rawal, who has turned producer along with his next film Oh My God, says he doesn't believe in promotions but being the producer of the film he'll must do it.

"There is a responsibility and likewise pressure but I WILL BE ABLE TO need to pay for it. I DON'T THINK in promotions but I WILL BE ABLE TO must do it since I'M also the producer of the film, then I CAN need to do it. Mouth publicity is the most efficient publicity but now it is the necessity we will be able to must do it," Paresh Rawal told reporters, before the music launch of the film Oh My God.

The music launch of the film was launched at the sets of Indian Idol post the clicking conference.

Paresh Rawal, who has shared the screen space with Akshay Kumar in lots of films including Hera Pheri, Bhagam Bhag, De Dana Dan among others, won't just share the screen space in Oh My God but may also co-produce the film.Paresh says their journey was peaceful.

"As a producer when two different people meet in a platform they need to trust one another and prefer one another as a individual. In the case of production, even though you're working for fifty years, still you learn something new day by day. Overall our journey was very peaceful and meaningful," the actor said.

Adapted from the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Gujarati play, Kanji Virrudh Kanji, by Paresh Rawal, it tells the tale of an atheist who incurs huge loses, when his antique shop is destroyed by an earthquake. The play in Hindi was titled Krishan vs Kanhaiya.

Paresh said: "ONCE I saw the play, I USED TO BE very jealous that I USED TO BE not a part of that Gujarati play. Then we did the similar play in Hindi. That point we decided to make a Hindi film on this."

"When it involves film, you'll have to pay attention to the visual part. So that you should make it powerful visually. There's a lot of difference between the play and the film you're conversant in the topic but surprised by the brand new interpretation and new scenes. Many stuff that lets not show within the play we have now shown it within the movie," he added.

Directed by Umesh Shukla, Oh My God is co-produced by Ashvini Yardi, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. The film is slated for September 28 release.
