Footwear maker Relaxo Footwear today said it has roped in Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif as brand ambassador for its Flite brand. As a part of a two year contract, Kaif will endorse the Flite brand that may be mainly targetting young consumers. Relaxo Footwear Executive Director Gaurav Dua said the Flite is being positioned as a brand symbolic to youth, comfort and elegance.
"And to hold this brand persona a step ahead, shall we call to mind no person better than Katrina Kaif," he said in a statement.
Katrina will feature in TV commercial endorsing the Flite footwear which might be aired soon, the corporate added.
As per the corporate's website, the company manufactures over three lakh pairs of footwear per day on the nine manufacturing units in North India.
In 2011-12, its annual turnover stood at Rs. 870 crore. its other brands include Sparx, Schoolmate, Elena, Casualz, Mary Jane and Boston.
