Before ‘Agneepath’, veteran actor Rishi Kapoor were known for his romantic films and as a doting father within the second innings of his career. His role as a chilly blooded hardy pimp, the Rauf Lala of ‘Agneepath’ stunned everyone and left them wanting for more. Rishi was absolutely fabulous as Dharma Productions’ villain dressed up in a kurta-pyjama, alongwith a karakul cap and kajal in eyes.
In keeping with the general public demand, Rishi has agreed to show up a baddie again in debut director Atul Sabharwal’s Arjun Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Aurangzeb’. Arjun, who won accolades for his performance in ‘Ishqzaade’ might be seen in a double role. The film isn't a period drama because the title suggests. Reports have it that the movie is a fresh tackle the 1978 blockbuster film ‘Trishul’ and can release next year.
The movie will even star Jackie Shroff and Amrita Singh. It’s the similar film for which Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara (from Saif Ali Khan) was incorrectly rumoured to has been signed.
