According to buzz, Bollywood actor Gulshan Grover is ready to step into the shoes of legendary artist MF Husain. The film isn't a biography though. The film could be directed by adman Shashank Shekhar, reports a daily.
Gulshan Grover told the daily: "I'm in a fascinating phase of my career with filmmakers putting greater faith in me as an actor. Once I was offered the role, inspired by the legendary artist and woven in a touching story, I loved it and took it up," he says.
The actor interacted with various artists to arrange for his role.
"Art was a topic during my academic years. But for the role, I too lessons from my painter friends to get some nuances right for authenticity in my performance. Besides, of course, putting in place from my experience of interacting with Husainsaab," he was quoted by the daily.
Gulshan Grover has appeared in over 400 films through a career spanning over 30 years.
