Himmatwala mahurat live relay no publicity stunt: Sajid

By Hindustan Times

Showing the mahurat shot of Himmatwala live to tell the tale YouTube isn't a publicity stunt, says director Sajid Khan and adds that he's just looking to involve his audiences. "Yes, we can be screening it live to tell the tale You Tube, but this isn't an event. It is a mahurat ceremony that allows you to be shown live to
the audience," Khan told IANS.

The mahurat could be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. on the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.

When asked whether stars are invited, Khan said: "IT ISN'T a celebration. There aren't any guests or anything."

"I make my films for my audience. I'VE always maintained this through all my films. I WOULD LIKE them to feel fascinated by the film right from the primary shot," he added.

An official remake of Jeetendra-Sridevi starrer 1980 hit film Himmatwala, Khan's version features Ajay Devgn and Tamannaah within the lead role and Paresh Rawal, Prakash Raj and Adhyayan Suman will even feature in it.

It is scheduled for a release next year.

"I need not promote the film any further. But yes, I'LL BE interacting with my audience inside the making of the film," said the director of hits like Housefull and Housefull 2: The Dirty Dozen.
