Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has a typical blog and millions of followers on Twitter, today joined social networking site Facebook to succeed in out further to his fans.
The 69-year-old launched his facebook page, to be able to provide details about the actor's upcoming movies, show videos, in addition to exclusive pictures from his private collection.
"Facebook needs no introduction and that i feel that my official Facebook fan page was long overdue. Facebook is a formidable tool that helps bring people together and allows us to embrace being part of a bigger community.
"I has been encouraged by the overpowering reception to my tumblr blog, and that is another avenue to succeed in out to my fans, not just in India, but globally," Bachchan said while launching his Facebook page.
In a video posted at the page, Bachchan said it was another attempt from his side to come back in the direction of his fans.
"I am now on Facebook.... Year after year, month after month, day after day, we just keep coming in the direction of one another. Lovely to have you ever here and we will be seeing one another and you'll be gaining knowledge of more about me and my daily activities through this glorious medium," Bachchan said in a video message.
When we last checked, Big B's Facebook page had 784,103 likes and 126,797 were already talking about it.
